We are a part of SeaDeep

Infrasonik is part of SEADEEP, an EU project with 30 partners, where we are developing an automated infrasound dryer for macroalgae.

Energy efficiency and digitalisation are becoming decisive factors for aquaculture and fisheries across Europe. We're part of a new initiative working on exactly that.SEADEEP has just launched as an EU project bringing together 30 partners from 11 countries, with the aim of pushing the sector toward lower-carbon, more resource-efficient production.

‍

Over its course, the project will roll out 16 solutions at nine demonstration sites in the North Sea and Baltic Sea basins, across three areas:

- Macroalgae farming: energy-efficient and digital solutions to optimise production and resource use

- Recirculating aquaculture systems: large-scale efficiency upgrades and digital tools for smarter monitoring and control

- Small-scale fishing fleets: digital solutions to improve energy use and decision-making at sea

‍

Within the consortium, Infrasonik is responsible for adapting and integrating infrasound technology into a new type of dryer, built specifically for drying macroalgae. The aim is to develop an efficient, fully automated drying process that removes the need for manual intervention altogether.

‍

Together with our partners, we're working toward a lower-carbon future for Europe's aquatic food sector.
